The Cop Doc and Coach Sok are presenting a dynamic and group interactive tag-team discussion dealing with the changes that can impact law enforcement employees over the course of a professional career often resulting in a wide continuum of behaviors ranging from going to war with administration to compromised job performance. Special attention will be focused upon the so-called red flags that can develop into an employee’s world-view which have the potential to result in the so-called Continuum of Compromise, the rationalization of acts that previously would have been unacceptable to the employee and create havoc in the workplace.
The presentation will highlight the specifics on documenting and diagnosing the exact impact of the unacceptable behavior. This will be followed by special emphasis on preparing for the face-to-face meeting to collaboratively create a realistic corrective action plan utilizing S.M.A.R.T. protocols and practical feedback-loop protocols.
Attendees will leave with a functional toolbox to assist them strategically plan and follow through on the how to present issues without confrontation. This includes anticipating employee response/resistance (tips for separating the person from the performance during the debriefing discussion) as well as executing and managing any corrective action strategies.
