The Association of Training Officers of MN would like to invite law enforcement trainers to attend the third ATOM Trainer’s Forum will be held on March 15th. A topic of discussion will be how to better coordinate training between agencies and organizations in order to mazimize attendance for all.
The purpose of these meetings is to ask questions, give answers and learn from one another. Officers will have an opportunity to find new training resources and get input from officers from many different departments. Networking is important, and over the years we have watched people join the ATOM board and after a year or two they realize how much they learned from officers serving in similar positions in other departments. When possible, we will also include a more formal presentation from someone in the law enforcement community that will have information that you might not receive elsewhere.
Ultimately we will be sharing contact information from everyone in this group and maybe down the road and start some type of online blog or forum. Feel free to forward this to others. I hope you or a representative from your agency can attend.
