21st Century Leadership: A Risk- free Approach to Resiliency, Officer and Agency Wellness and Development will introduce the leader at all levels of the law enforcement agency to the innovative Indianapolis employee wellness and development program that has been recognized by the White House, the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing, the US Department of Justice, the FBI, The Fraternal Order of Police, the United States Congress, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Ground-breaking research and proven strategies to address agency paralysis and officer distress will be introduced in this course. These strategies are intended to educate officers to recognize agency and employee crisis and develop a methodology for overcoming complacency. During this course students, will learn to maximize personal strengths and mitigate weaknesses to enhance and embrace agency and employee development. Upon completion of this course, participants will have gained insight into personal and professional strategies for leading and designing an agency infrastructure and culture that identifies, hires and maintains healthier employees and reaps the benefits of being a 21st century leading edge organization.
