Overall Learning Goal
The overall learning goal of this unit of instruction is to provide information and guidance on how to create and maintain training records that thoroughly document the training an agency provides, and an officer receives.
Performance Objectives
Participants will receive information and guidance on:
- How training records will be utilized in criminal investigations
- What agencies should be documenting in regard to in-house training and outside training
- What the POST Board’s role is in reviewing and approving training
- The changes to the POST Board’s mandated learning objectives
- Best practices in creating and maintaining training files
